    If you look at the examples in the gospels Matthew, Mark and Luke. The group of Pharisees said that Jesus drove out devils by the power of Beelzebub. They had blasphemed the power of God by which Jesus was working. This is what Jesus was talking about. If you deny the power of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit, there is no hope to be saved. If you are able to repent, you have been shown mercy by the Lord, and have not committed the unpardonable sin.

    Yes there is forgiveness for all sin, but cursing of the Holy Spirit there is none. There is not my opinion, but from Bible. Even if the person is truly sorry for cursing the Holy Spirit, he can beg God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit forever, There will be no answer. I am telling everyone Charles Stanley is a nice man, he means wells, but he is wrong. Unpardonable Sin is thinking, verbally speaking against the Holy Spirit.

    @RWarsenal08 I have not heard of Pastor Chuck Smith. My pastor for five to six years would preach only me or just seemed like it. The last time I was there, I had loss my dad. He was at pulpit, he said “Hevenly Father someone here is hurting,” then he stops and saids “There is no Holy Spirit.” He watch starring at me. I was not hurting when I loss my dad, I felt mercy from God to take my dad sooner, I did not want to see my dad linger.

    @RWarsenal08 Are you sure? Please pray about it to God if Cussing at the Holy Spirit is forgivable. I did not think about that concerning my pastor, I know this is what he said last sermon I had went too. I am going to another church and another state for over a year now.

    @RWarsenal08 I think that maybe you should think about looking at talking to another pastor from a different church because every pastor i’ve spoken to about this matter has been pretty much in line with what Dr. Stanley has said. Do you know who Pastor Chuck Smith is? Look up his video on it on Youtube. I spoke to him on the radio and he told me it was basically a final rejection of Jesus as your Savior….it doesn’t sound like this you…

    @caprice6 I don’t know what you exactly said about the Holy Spirit but I think it is much more than cussing at the Holy Spirit. I don’t know what you said, but I think its a bit presumptuous of your pastor to tell you that you can never receive the Holy Spirit or be forgiven…last time I checked only Jesus had the authority to tell people whether their sins could be forgiven or not. I

    @RWarsenal08 I was eighteen years old, I felt God did not love me, I cursed the Holy Spirit, not God, not Jesus. I had forgotten this years later . I was drawn to the gospel I accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized in 2001. A few months I had a terrible vision by God that I cannot be forgiven and scenes of my sin that committed at eighteen. My pastor told me he prayed for me and said there is no Holy Spirit for me and His forgiveness.

    @caprice6 Why do you believe Jesus died for you yet you believe He can’t forgive your sins? What exactly is your definition of the unpardonable sin?

    Jesus is real and all other religions worship a false god that do not believe in the God of Israel and Jesus as the Son of God, you are correct. Im just not sure why you insist on thinking you are unsavable…

  11. By caprice6 on July 23, 2010 at 5:05 am

    @bustermk2 God gives people free will, this is the reason not every converts. Give Jesus a chance not denomination ask him are you real? I want and need forgiveness, come inside my heart, I believe you died and arose from the dead.

  12. By bustermk2 on July 23, 2010 at 5:43 am

    @caprice6 Jesus send his disciples to all region of the earth and yet 2/3 of the planet didn’t convert … that should tell you something.

    Become a Buddhist, Muslim or a Hindu … you have nothing to lose. Religions are just brand names and Jesus is just a spokesman for one of the bigger franchises.

  13. By caprice6 on July 23, 2010 at 6:13 am

    @bustermk2 Jesus send his disciples to all region of the earth including China, Indians. Christian is sending to hell for my own fault, for my own sins and carelessness of the scripture, all sin is forgiven by God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, but the unpardonable sin, I committed this sin when I was eighteen.

  14. By bustermk2 on July 23, 2010 at 6:30 am

    @caprice6
    You take Christianity too seriously.

    If Christianity is so powerful how come Jesus never revealed himself to the Chinese or the Indians or for that matter anyone outside Israel?

    Every part of the world developed their own religious beliefs, and none have any claim to being any more relevent than any other. If you like think of God as the product and organised religion as simply the brandname.

    If Christianity wants to send you to hell then just dump it and find another religion.

  15. By caprice6 on July 23, 2010 at 7:21 am

    @bustermk2 three part of God-father, God-Son, God-Holy Spirit, charles stanley leaves out this verse, all manner of sin will be forgiven speaking foul word against God and the Son but not the Holy Spirit. I spoke against the Holy Spirit not realizing it was the worse sin. I had forgotten about it. Twenty plus years later I had a vision of my past sin, I know the vision is of God. Please accept Jesus.

  16. By bustermk2 on July 23, 2010 at 7:29 am

    @caprice6
    Nah … if it is that hard to get into heaven I couldn’t be bothered. I might become a Buddhist and just get reincarnated instead.

    I still don’t understand your position though. If you are so certain you are going to hell then just do a deal with Satan. Many religions teach that there are many levels to hell so you might be able to get him to cut you a break and send you to one of the easier levels.

    Sounds to me like all you did was curse god. Hell I do that a dozen times a day.

  17. By caprice6 on July 23, 2010 at 7:41 am

    @bustermk2 Jesus is real, you need to become a christian.Other religions are fake. Don’t worry about me. I fail in my unbelief, I committed the unpardonable sin.

  18. By bustermk2 on July 23, 2010 at 8:26 am

    @caprice6
    Still don’t understand why you bother being a christian when you know that you are going to be sent to hell. There are lots of other religions out there that have as much of a claim to the religious high ground as christianity.

  19. By caprice6 on July 23, 2010 at 9:08 am

    @bustermk2 For you, there is hope, accept Jesus Christ, recieve the Holy Spirit, become Holy as Jesus, become a true follower. Jesus is real.

  20. By caprice6 on July 23, 2010 at 9:38 am

    @bustermk2 Satan does not give deals just destructions, he laughs at anyone who follows him. No I do not want to go hell. I forgotten I committed the unpardonable sin due to disbelief, I was baptistized and said the sinners prayers. A few months later I had a vision that I cannot be forgiven what I did when I was young from disbelief. The pastor he means wells, but there is unpardonable sin that never be forgiven, speaking against the Holy Spirit.

  21. By bustermk2 on July 23, 2010 at 10:36 am

    @caprice6
    Dude … you sound like you want to go to hell.

    If you really believe that you are doomed to hell then why bother being a Christian?

    Just tell God to fuck off and find another religion instead.

    In fact if you are so certain you are going to hell then start worshipping Satan. He might cut you a deal.

  22. By caprice6 on July 23, 2010 at 11:05 am

    @bustermk2 no one cann be evil as you liked, what Charles is saying if make mistake commit a sin God will forgive you if asked forgiveness. It is not easy forgiveness either. I do not agree with there is no unpardonable sin. I have done it back when I was eighteen I going to hell, because I believe easy forgiveness.

  23. By bustermk2 on July 23, 2010 at 11:10 am

    @caprice6
    Your right … so what I will do is say a little prayer every night … but then I will go on sinning and being wicked anyway.

    You know … just like all the rest of you Christians do.

    Thank God hypocrisy isn’t a sin or we would all be burning in hell..

  24. By caprice6 on July 23, 2010 at 12:07 pm

    @bustermk2 No, you must always repent, you might die seconds then what?

  25. By bustermk2 on July 23, 2010 at 12:49 pm

    So I can be as evil as I like … so long as ask for his forgiveness before I die.

    There’s a range of definition on the subject, from Dr. Stanley’s “it can’t happen in this age” to the very broad definition that includes any coarse, profane use of language to the Holy Spirit. Jesus didn’t go into lengthy detail but He did say something illuminating in Mark 12. He uses the language “…in this age or in the next.” What’s implied was that judgment would be imposed on the guilty party in this life as it would be in the next, and that would be defined as being cut off and separated from God. The avenue to salvation would be closed since the Holy Spirit would not act to convict such a person again.

    These are some interesting excerpts from “Guide to Christian Workers” from THE OPEN BIBLE: NEW KING JAMES VERSION on the subject of committing the unpardonable sin:

    “You will know if you have committed this sin. The desire to be a Christian will be forever past. No spiritual impression will ever again come to your soul. A hardening process will have taken place. …

    The tragedy lies in the eternally unforgiven soul. Since the Holy Spirit is the agent in conviction and conversion, there can be no rebirth without the Holy Spirit. To sin against the Holy Spirit is to sin against your own soul. To blaspheme against the Holy Spirit is to shut yourself off forever from access to God…..

    You will know if you cross this line. Those who have committed this sin are completely given over to Satan and have not the slightest interest in spiritual matters. Paul describes it as being “past feeling” (Eph. 4:19)

    On the other hand, Satan, the deceiver, will lie to you and tell you that you are unpardonable. God makes no exceptions in His offer of salvation.

    “And by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the Law of Moses” (Acts 13:39)”

    From my own personal experience I believed I had committed the unpardonable sin. I had been a Christian many years, had attended church, tithed my income and had a rich prayer life. But then I ran into financial hardship and I became angry that God didn’t live up to his promise of supplying me with my needs in exchange for my tithing. I was in such despair that I told the Holy Spirit that if you didn’t inspire me, lead me out of my predicament that I wanted Him out of my life. I stated it profanely and coarsely. When I read Mark 12 a year later I suddenly recalled my profane moment. The next 48 hours were the worst in my life as I was tormented by surely, sarcastic demonic voices, accusing me that I had been defeated by them and that I was to be thrown in hell as a result. I hardly slept during this period and was in a sense of panic and fear. I finally got on my knees and begged God for forgiveness for all my sins, which I had been wrong to allow the addiction of sin to go on unresolved in my life. Later that day I noticed that the demonic voices were gone. I had a sense of peace that I hadn’t had in a couple of days. I also noticed that I had a heightened sense of sin that would form in my mind and that I had empowerment to overcome them-not to carry them out, something I had never had before in my life. Eventually I also received the sense of urgency to spread the Gospel in a number of ways to my family and friends, to get them turned around and be introspective, also something I never had before.

    I believe I became Born Again, convicted by the Holy Spirit, and this occurred a year after profanely treating the Spirit. The problem I had in my faith life is that though I accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, I didn’t repent of my sins, making allowances and excuses for them, combating sin using only my own strength. I would go without specific sins for a few days and then fall off the wagon, so to speak. It was only after I had a heart felt sense of remorse to God that the Holy Spirit convicted me.

    So I encourage anyone who believes they committed the unpardonable sin not to despair and lose hope. Instead, grow rapidly in faith:

    Accept Jesus as Lord and Savior
    Repent (absolutely necessary)
    Become Born Again
    Testify publicly of your conversion
    Request Water Baptism
    Read the Word of God and apply it.
    Tithe your income
    Pray Daily
    Relate your experiences to others
    Resist Satan
    Attend church regularly
    Become a useful servant
    Yield to the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to shape you.

    You will notice the “Fruit of the Spirit” which will manifest, which are: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. (Gal 5:22)

    Also notice how the Spirit will convict you, empowering you against sin and encouraging you to share the Gospel with others.

    I hope this helps you.

    In my above remarks, I referenced Mark 12 when in fact it’s Mathew 12 that has the subject of unpardonable sin.
